Conducted two back-to-back sessions with students of KG and Grade 1 based on our books – My Gulmohar Tree and City of Stars respectively. At the end of the session, kids enjoyed creating a bookmark to take home the values learned from the books.

Pathways School Baliawas, Gurugram

Our founder was invited to conduct an author speak session with Grade 1 students at Pathways, Baliawas in Gurugram for our storybook City of Stars. The session involved interactive storytelling by the teachers, followed by an interactive activity designed on the topic of Energy Saving from the book.

Kids showed a lot of excitement while guessing Energy Eating Monsters at home. The kids were also excited to buy a signed copy of City of Stars S torybook and City of Stars-Calendar Book from the author during the following book fair.

Also conducted an online session based on our book – Time Story with students of Grade 1 at the school. Kids enjoyed learning about different ways of telling time and other time-related concepts, but also about different ways of telling time.

Conducted three online author speak sessions with students of Grade 1 (IB) based on the chapter (Abdu Celebrates a Green Christmas) from our book – City of Stars.

Kids were excited to learn how they can celebrate a Green Christmas by decorating their Christmas trees with materials that can be reused, are recyclable or biodegradable. They were also excited to learn eye-opening facts, such as all paper is not recyclable and paper mills cause more pollution than any other factories.

Conducted two author speak sessions and interactive workshops on the topics of Energy Saving and Noise Pollution, from our storybook City of Stars, with Grade 3 and Grade 4 students respectively.

Was overwhelmed by the response of the kids who came prepared for the session by reading our book in advance and shared their actions to protect our environment through posters, paintings and more.

They were also very excited to get their copies of CITY OF STARS storybook and CITY OF STARS calendar book signed at the end of the session!

If we use flowers to decorate our homes, will we not harm the trees?

Why is a newspaper a more eco-friendly option to wrap presents when it is made from trees? How do trees help in reducing noise levels?

What will happen to our children if we keep destroying nature?

Many such interesting questions were raised by students of Grade 1,2,3,4 and 5 when we conducted multiple online sessions for a school in Mumbai based on our books ‘City of Stars’ and ‘My Gulmohar Tree.’

When the air outside was relatively clean, we spent our week conducting multiple interactive storytelling sessions with Grade 1 and 5 students at the BRITISH SCHOOL, New Delhi, educating them about Indoor Air Check – air monsters (dust, smoke and gases) inside their homes using real-life props based on a story in our book – CITY OF STARS.

Because we believe that children are the key agents of behavioural change we wish to see in our society. Because we want to make them eco-warriors both outside and inside their homes. Because we believe in truly passing on the greatest values to them for the sake of their health and their own future!

The feedback from the school at the end made our day. “Today was fabulous…We enjoyed listening to the interesting story and talk on our current pollution situation. Thank you for reading to us during the Book Week.”

Conducted a session with Grade 2 and 3 students around how to celebrate Green Diwali based on one of the 12 stories in our book – City of Stars!

Was delighted to see children engrossed in storytelling and participate excitedly in a discussion around how to change our habits and convince our friends and family too, to celebrate a truly GREEN DIWALI this year.

At the end of the session, was also happy to share tips on story writing with the budding authors!

Kunskapsskolan School, Gurugram

Conducted two back to back workshops at Kunskapsskolan international school with Grade 2 students and Grade 4 students around two topics (Indoor Air Check and Energy Saving) from our storybook – City of Stars.

While the Grade 2 students enjoyed interactive storytelling, guessing sources of indoor air pollution, getting such enemies of clean air out of the tent house and placing them in three categories (dust, smoke and gases), it was a delight to see their extreme enthusiasm and excitement in even guessing how to prevent them.

The testimonial from the Team Lead at the school at the end of the day added to our joy…

“It was a pleasure to have you in the school with your team today for a workshop on indoor air pollution. Your team conducted a wonderful session for grade 2 students enriching them with the cause, effect and the ways to prevent indoor air pollution. It was a delight to see our students interacting and participating equally with your team. You took care of each minute detail as per their interest by using the props and storytelling. We look forward to more of such sessions, with you in the future.”

In Energy Saving session, was taken aback by the excitement of Grade 4 students to guess energy eating monsters at home, the amount of energy they consume as well as learn how to save energy consumed by the biggest monster – AC, by keeping a check on their everyday behaviours!

City of Stars, a unique and innovative experiential book, with 12 real-life stories and 48 activity pages, is designed to bring behavioural change in children across age groups through the year to protect their own health and environment!

Medhaam Preschool, Gurugram

Conducted an author speak session with children of Medhaam school on the topic of Waste Segregation from our book City of Stars. The kids and their parents enjoyed interactive storytelling, followed by waste segregation activity. Kids also enjoyed making their own newspaper bags and took back the signed copies of the book in their creations.
